Operating Supplies & Equipment (OS&E)

This is the term used to define the small equipment manufactured off site with most items not requiring installation. Assistance can be provided compiling a list of these items for the kitchens, bars, guest rooms, back of house and other hospitality areas. Such items can include chinaware, silverware, glassware, bed linen, guest amenities, uniforms, housekeeping equipment and engineering tools, etc.

Before the main contractor completes their works it is advised to have a completed Hotel Operating Equipment (HOE) list to the purchasing officer so orders can be placed as some items require a long lead time for delivery and you need to ensure quantities are met for opening. This is a crucial document to ensure that all items have been accounted for.

We can develop detailed specifications and quantities required for each area that can then be used by your purchasing officer in obtaining quotations. Alternatively we can manage the quotation, purchasing and delivery of the items.

As our knowledge and experience in this area is extensive, we have a variety of examples of detailed HOE lists we an discuss with you to ensure you have everything you need for the first day of operation.

Remember – it is often the little things that may be forgotten that can make your first few months of trading difficult. Contact us to ensure you are ready to meet your clients every needs from day one!
